Texas has more female veterans than any other state. In Houston the Lotus Project support group was initially founded to find housing for women veterans of the armed services. This group now brings career training, support groups, mental health counselors, and housing assistance for a smooth transition back into civilian life.

Lawyer Gives Free Legal Services to Veterans

Montclair Law office of Michael Pasquale runs a non-profit called Officers of the Courts Corp (OCC). This organization provides free legal services to injured veterans that are looking for compensation due to sacrifices made while in service.
